Akane is a very outgoing individual, especially for a vampire. Her openness often-times causes other vampires to reject her, and because of this, she tends to live in isolation, despite her oddly friendly nature. Akane is also a consumnate artist, spending much of her free time with a paint brush, painting what she calls "Mathematically perfect" paintings. She also loves to draw, spending much time in her isolation either drawing or painting.
Akane also enjoys school, though she has been through high school over 20 times at last count. It might be partially her still youthful appearance, or possibly it might just be that she likes the social element of school. She enjoys all kinds of human food, though she technically doesn't need it, being a vampire. Her absolute favorite human food is dog lo mein, or possibly sushi (specifically any spicy sushi).

Blood-red eyes. That's one of the most distinguishing features on Akane's face. Combined with her messy neck-length hair, she can look quiet fierce. Akane is also very strong, even for vampire, though you wouldn't guess it by her slim, short frame. Akane tends to wear light colored, canvas pants, and plain, modern blouses.
History:
Akane has a long and storied history, leading up from even before the majority of her vampire race went to live on earth. Her family had been living in Japan for centuries, with records of them going all the way back to the great sword-smith Muramasa, who was one of the first members of her clan to walk on Earth. More recently, however, her family had moved to New York to avoid a prominent member of the Yakuza, who also happened to be a vampire.
Contrary to her appearance, Akane herself has been around for over 200 years, most of that time being spent in Japan, where she was raised. Her life in Japan has given her a very refined sense of respect, which it would be advised that anyone who meets her should follow, as she would make a very powerful enemy.
